About Me

My name is Christine and I am a 51 year old grandmother who has struggled with weight issues my entire life. In fact, I remember my mother taking me to my first Weight Watchers meeting at age 11. 


I have tried just about every diet and have been successful at losing. Unfortunately, I have never been able to KEEP the weight off. And as a result, I would gain the weight I worked so hard to get rid of and then gain MORE weight back! Does this sound familiar to you? 

I have FINALLY come to the realization that it's great to  "diet" and lose the excess pounds BUT if you don't make those changes PERMANENT in your life, the weight will creep back on.

Thank goodness I am in a "right place" mentally to change my behavior. I am re-joining Weight Watchers and I plan on being very aggressive in attending the meetings ( my goal is several times per week). There have been many times I had lost on the WW plan and quit going to the meetings thinking I could save myself the money and do it alone.  BIG MISTAKE! The good thing about being older is that you learn from your mistakes.  I NEED the meetings. Weight Watchers WORKS as long as you follow the plan and attend the meetings.

 In addition, I am hoping to use this blog as an additional tool to self-awareness and self-discovery.  I am going to be honest in journaling my wins along with my challenges. Because let's be honest here, I wouldn't be 300+ pounds if I have not come across some challenges.  I look forward to interacting with anyone else who would like to offer encouragement and advice and I would LOVE to do the same for you!  Let's experience the weight loss journey together!
